Glass Recycling
Every year, about 100,000 tons of glass bottles are disposed of in landfills in Hong Kong. Glass is an inert material that does not release harmful substances to the environment when it is disposed. However, glass is extremely difficult to decompose. Disposing glass bottles in landfills will not only consume our decreasing landfill space, but also waste natural resources. For this reason, citizens can actively participate in glass recycling and contribute to protecting the environment.
